Fertility is the heart of our clinic. Dr Zhang holds an MD in Human Reproductive Medicine and has spent more than 40 years helping women and couples on their journey to parenthood — both towards natural conception and alongside assisted reproduction.

Who we help

We support women with a wide range of fertility challenges, including:

• Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
• Endometriosis
• Low ovarian reserve, elevated FSH and egg-quality concerns
• Irregular, absent or painful periods
• Recurrent miscarriage
• Unexplained infertility
• Fertility in the perimenopausal years

Many patients come to us while preparing for or undergoing fertility treatment; others prefer to try a natural route first. Partners are always welcome to attend.

Support alongside IVF, ICSI and IUI

Acupuncture is widely used alongside assisted reproduction, and this is one of Dr Zhang’s major areas of interest. Because she is trained in both Western reproductive medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she understands your clinic’s protocol and test results and plans treatment around them — typically:

• Before a cycle — preparing the body over the months leading up to treatment;
• During stimulation — supporting the body’s response and helping you stay calm;
• Around embryo transfer — many patients choose sessions close to transfer day;
• The two-week wait and early pregnancy — gentle, reassuring support at an anxious time.

What treatment involves

Your first visit is an unhurried consultation. We review your medical history, cycle, lifestyle and any test results or diagnoses from your GP or fertility clinic, together with a Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis. Treatment is then tailored to you and may combine acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine, adjusted at each visit as your body responds.
